Studio Summary

It has been four years since the incident that has come to be known as the Twilight. Many of those who witnessed it no longer come to "The World." It is a different place. A safer place. Shugo and his twin sister Rena are two of the newest players to join "The World." And they've won a very special prize in a contest - they get to use the character likenesses of the legendary Kite and Black Rose.

Such a prize is very rare indeed, and it makes them the center of a lot of attention. The pair will encounter friends and allies, but it soon becomes very clear that they are not ordinary players. Unusual things keep happening around them, but they're too busy having fun to really worry. It's probably nothing. Probably.

This is a 3 DVD Series: .hack//Legend of the Twilight - A New World (Vol. 1), .hack//Legend of the Twilight - Enter the Nightmare! (Vol. 2), .hack//Legend of the Twilight - Endgame (Vol. 3) Not yet available in a box set.

DVD Features: Textless Opening, Textless Ending, and Trailers.

Looks like the folks over at Kikizo have some leaked photos of the new Xbox 360 ... scooping the MTV release party. For pictures of the controlers, you can head to Joystq.

This is one sweet, sexy-looking beast - very unlike the Xbox 1.

Silver case, wireless controlers, 40 gig hard drive, 3 processors ... I think it is more gaming machine than most people can handle. I am really curious what kind of price point Xbox 360 is going to enter at, I'd lay bets at around $400-$450 myself. Probably more than I'll shell out given the fact that I have an Xbox with more unplayed games than I care to think about, but it is sweet.

Regardless, we'll know more on May 12th on MTV.

At Star Wars Celebration III this past weekend, Lucas finally put the rumors of an ongoing Star Wars TV project to rest.

Rumors no more, Lucas confirmed that there is not one, but two television projects in development at Lucasfilm, LTD. - a 3-D computer animated series, and a live action series both based on the Star Wars universe. (Sources: TheForce.net and Chud.com)

Presently there are more details with regards to the live action series. It is reported to have 100 episodes planned, each with a running time of one hour, and will take place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. The series will star some characters from the movies, but not any of the main characters.

And to paraphrase Return of the Jedi: most importantly, we have learned that George Lucas himself will be overseeing the primary phase of construction. Many Bothans died to bring us this information.

That is, Lucas plans to direct the first season himself, and that each season will be written and shot all at one time instead of incrementally. It sounds like Star Wars TV will be produced more like a feature film than a television series.

Lucasfilm plans to start production in about a year. There are no details as to what network will be showing it, but I'll bet that all of the main networks will be making a play for it.

I'd also venture a guess that Cartoon Network will get a stab at the animated series given their success with Clone Wars I and II. Could one of the Lead 3d Animators they are hiring at Time Warner be for the new show? It's possible, but I'm just adding to the wild suppositions and rumors with that suggestion.

Personally, I was hoping Lucas would start on some of the "other projects" he has mentioned for years and let the Star Wars show go under the direction of some new blood. It could be that he always wanted to try his hand at TV, and Star Wars is his personal playground so I can't blame him for taking it on himself.

Actually, TV has never been more primed for a live action Star Wars show than it is now. With the momentum of Revenge of the Sith, and the demise of Star Trek: Enterprise (leaving TV without a current "Trek" show for the first time in 18 years), the Star Wars franchise is in a strong position for a small screen hit.

Lets hope it is a good one!

On April 16th, 2005 a Star Wars fan film was released that upped the ante on fan film production values everywhere. Star Wars: Revelations takes place during the period known as "The Great Purge." It is the time between the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Rebellion (Episodes 3 and 4). It is the time when all remaining Jedi where hunted down and extinguished by the Emperor and Darth Vader.

Studio Summary:
(From Star Wars: Revelations Website)

"Revelations" is a non-profit Star Wars fan film that was shot within the Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC Metro Area. "Revelations" is made possible through a combined effort of artists, fans and the local film industry. Everyone who has worked on "Revelations" is a volunteer. No one is paid to make this film. Panic Struck Productions set out to produce their first independent film with a very small budget and the result is "Revelations"

The goal has always been to push the limit of independent film making and show what can be done with a dedicated cast/crew, the vision of Panic Struck Productions, and the affordable solutions in today's market in terms of film and video. We also wanted to showcase the large pool of talented individuals who are out there and show how an independent film such as Revelations can push the limit of small Hollywood.

Panic Struck Productions has formed a strong and committed team in producing a high caliber fan film. With a CG team spanning the globe as well as a cast and crew from all over the east coat and beyond, the effort for Revelations has been huge. From cast to crew, extras to sponsors, this movie was made possible by those who have supported the idea and dedicated so much to the film.

Studio Summary
(From Batman.com):
Only in his third year, pre-"Bat Signal," The Batman currently operates as a vigilante. Under the cape and cowl can be found a younger Bruce Wayne in his 20s. The media is more likely to catch him courtside at a Gotham Gators game or strapping on a helmet to drive his own racecar for a charity than in front of City Hall cutting a ribbon.

But don't confuse the swinging bachelor persona for the real Bruce - he's intense, driven and completely focused on his life's mission to serve as the Dark Knight. Aided by technology he's secretly developed - including the operating system known as the Bat-Wave - and driven by the childhood memory of the loss of his parents, Batman takes to the streets in order to bring Gotham's new breed of super villains to justice.

One side-effect of getting real site traffic on the blog is comment spam. I have been hit 3 times in the last week with some major g4mbling and p0rn comments on my blogtopics. There are some filters out there that can help, but they require membership logins.

For now, I have turned off the ability to comment to posts.... but I don't want to stifle participation. Please feel free to comment on any posts in the forum.

I may change my mind about allowing for public comments again, but for now they are turned off.
