I was fortunate enough to get my DVR in time to start recording Teen Titans fairly close to the beginning of the new season. Boy, am I glad I did not miss this two-part episode.
For those of you that don't know, Teen Titans is based on a DC comic about several Teenage superheroes doing their thing. The original Robin, Dick Grayson is the best known out of the bunch. Produced by Warner Brothers, and retooled and updated for the new Millennia, Teen Titans is heavily influenced by the stream of 'toons coming out of Japan. In fact, it is the best example of Anime influence in Western animation to date. From using super-deformed characters and ever-famous sweat bubble to show emotion and embracement, to the Theme song by the J-pop group Puffy AmiYumi, this show is one American cartoon that wishes it was Anime.
Needless to say, I'm hooked.
Aftershock 1 & 2 was a particularly good set of episodes. Packed with action and furthering a plot development from earlier on in the series, it does a good job of drawing on classical themes such as the fallen angel and redemption.

It's a lot more difficult getting started on a project when you have a little one in the house, that's for sure. This site is no exception. There is just so much going on right now, it makes it really hard to concentrate on extracurricular activities.
I really plan to have fun here, and talk more about Animation, one of my greatest hobbies… but I need to find the time to watch some first! I just got my Comcast DVR installed last weekend, and it should help. I was able to catch some titles this week that I plan to get some thoughts down on.
